Gender and Agriculture

In 2009 the World Bank, FAO and IFAD published the Sourcebook Gender in Agriculture, a manual that combines descriptive stories of agricultural experiences with gender-sensitive operational practical guidelines for the design of rural development strategies that include women and men for the reduction of poverty. At the initiative of the Regional Unit for Technical Assistance (RUTA) this book was translated into Spanish to make it accessible for a wide audience within Latin America. Cases of the Winning Women contest were added to the translated version of the book.
