Sustainable Construction Norm Costa Rica

The first Sustainable Construction Norm of Costa Rica was presented at the National Institute for Architecture and Engineering: RESET (Requisitos para Edificios Sostenibles en el TrĂ³pico), initiated by the Institute of Tropical Architecture, is a voluntary norm approved by INTECO, the National Institute for Technical Norms.

In addition to the norm, the Foundation for Urban Development FUDEU elaborated the Sustainable Construction Guide with the financial support of IUCN. The guide is designed to help architects, developers, constructors and house owners to execute their buildings in such a way that they can acquire the RESET standards and follow its sustainability criteria. The social-economic chapter of the guide was developed by A Company.
